The Indian leader was subtly conveying his government’s view that China is already a developed country with similar socio-economic metrics as its Western counterparts. By tacitly denying recognition of China’s self-identification as a developing country, not to mention its claim to being the largest one, India is sending a signal to the rest of the Global South that they should look to it for leadership instead of to China.

In terms of the Indian people I see them constantly comparing themselves with China. Many of their commentaries are also not very nice about China. They seem to despise her for being successful in what she does getting ahead. On the other hand, China tries to embrace India to become partners in this new multipolar world.
For example, in the last BRICS meetings, China and Russia wanted to expand the group with new members but India was expressing opposition to this idea because she mistrust China into helping her to advance her goals within the group.
He know Poo bear is evil also.. Good for India! They do have some freedoms in India unlike China where you have zero freedoms... China is a global threat and needs to be exposed.
