India is the only Great Power whose growing ties in any region aren’t seen by the New Cold War’s Chinese and Western protagonists as a threat to their interests, which thus makes them amenable to accepting its envisaged balancing role in those countries who they’re competing over like those in the Pacific.
The surname, 'Tkatchenko' caught my eye and piqued my interest the other day, so I did a quick Googly around it.
Lo and behold: "A son of Ukrainian immigrants became Papua New ...". on Twitter.
And Al Jazeera: 1 day ago — "Papua New Guinea's under fire Foreign Minister Justin Tkatchenko has said he will 'step aside' after apologising for calling people who criticised his eldest daughter’s lavish trip to London “primitive animals”".
Isn't it funny how this guy's parents seem to have dragged the mindset of their (then future) leaders half-way around the world?!
"This view is shared by its Australian ally, which fears its regional influence is eroding."
Well yeah, duh... If you can't hide your feelings about 'primitive animals', you can hardly expect big gains in popularity. Core beliefs, e.g. in 'Exceptionalism', have these nasty habits of hiding and peeking through at the most inopportune moments. And lip service to woken bollocks ideology, regardless the degree of virtue signalling, don't cut it. So, it looks like they'll be meeting a new-and-improved Foreign Minister.
It would seem there must be something exceptional about your parents, Mr. Korybko. But, then again, when they were shaping your mind(set), there was nothing at all unusual about what they were doing or how they were doing it. Although even then responsible parenting was becoming unfashionable before becoming unpopular.
Oh dear, wouldn't it be unfortunate if it transpired you hated your parents and have done everything within your power to prove them wrong?!
In any case — whether your analyses are a result of your work alone, opposition to your parents' (beliefs), or something of a compromise — you're a very lucky man.
