There is no ‘left’ remaining in Europe, the U.S. or the rest of the 5 eyes. Michael Hudson just wrote a very good essay that appeared on the Naked Capitalism website (highly recommended) on the need for a complete overhaul of political language. The idea that a corporatist empire stooge like Keir Starmer has the brass balls to call himself a ‘progressive’- a term historically associated with the left- is a perfect example of why Mr. Hudson is correct.
All western adults, and outside foreign policy circles we are many, welcome even the faintest beginnings of rapprochement with a Russia that has never been our enemy.

The answers to those questions will tell you if your current leaders are doing the job they were voted into power to try & achieve . Amongst many other things of course.
