What Soros just did united all patriotic Indians irrespective of partisan disposition while also creating an opportunity for scoring political points that was too tempting for some ill-informed or ill-intended folks to pass up. Chidambaram is one of the latter who exposed themselves, though it remains unclear whether he’s truly unaware of Soros’ role in waging Hybrid Wars across the world or just saw a chance to mudsling against Prime Minister Modi. In any case, he shouldn’t have publicly underestimated Soros.
Senior Indian National Congress (INC) leader P. Chidambaram shared a curious reaction to Color Revolution mastermind George Soros’ de facto declaration of Hybrid War on India. He tweeted that:
“I did not agree with most of what George Soros had said in the past and I do not agree with most of what he says now
But to label his remarks as an ‘attempt to topple the democratically elected government in India’ is a puerile statement
The people of India will determine who will be in and who will be out of the government of India
I did not know that the Modi government was so feeble that it can be toppled by the stray statement of a 92 year old rich foreign national”
It’s not Prime Minister Modi and his government who are “puerile” for taking Soros’ regime change record seriously, but P. Chidambaram for underestimating it.
Hybrid War of the sort that Soros specializes in concerns indirect attacks against a targeted state aimed at coercing it into regime tweaking (concessions), regime change (self-explanatory), and/or a regime reboot (far-reaching constitutional reform that usually results in “Balkanization”). His “Open Society Foundations” (OSF) orchestrate Color Revolutions by assembling a group of core members and their cohorts who then wage information warfare and carry out other forms of socio-political disruptions.
Such efforts are always facilitated by economic warfare, which creates comparatively more fertile conditions for cultivating anti-state sentiment. Soros also happens to be a masterful manipulator of the financial markets and could even speculatively have had a hand in the US-based short-seller that recently manipulated Adani’s stock price. After all, it’s very suspicious that he cited this unexpected development in his Munich Security Conference speech as supposedly advancing “a democratic revival”.
That phrase is a euphemism for regime change but could even be interpreted as a tacit threat of “Balkanization” if the targeted Indian state continues resisting external pressure to subjugate itself as the largest vassal of the US-led West’s Golden Billion in the New Cold War. Soros’ networks, which refers to his “NGO” one that arguably in some cases coordinates with foreign intelligence services as well as his economic-financial operatives, were responsible for some of the worst Hybrid Wars in recent history.
The Yugoslav Wars, the Hybrid War of Terror on Syria, and the spree of urban terrorism known as “EuroMaidan” that preceded Ukraine’s US-backed fascist coup in early 2014 are the most notable that immediately come to mind but are far from exhaustive. Even so, the last-mentioned example is of outsized significance due to its role in catalyzing the sequence of events that ultimately led to Russia’s special operation and subsequently the largest conflict in Europe since World War II.
Returning to Chidambaram’s snarky response to Soros’ de facto declaration of Hybrid War on India, he’s either truly unaware of the second’s role in the abovementioned events or is playing dumb in an attempt to score a few cheap political points at the ruling BJP’s expense. Both are disadvantageous to his objective interests, however, since the former disqualifies him from publicly discussing Hybrid War threats ever again while the second makes him come off as a genuinely anti-national opportunist.

I have been reading about Soros for decades. At first I thought he was a clever swindler. The he seemed to swindle weak countries. Then I realized that being a billionaire he could pay off the right people to make money.
Now I view him as evil.
Yes.... like C. Raja Mohan, another imbecile who is either ignorant of history or pretends to be ignorant of Soros/NED/OpenSociety crimes against humanity, AND is either a paid puppet of the US MIC/CIA, OR has swallowed whole the Brobdingnagian Obama bullshit about 'India is already a superpower'.
