Vassal states don’t get the final words in such matters. Poles wondering about their place in the world just got a reminder about that.

Everyone would get more if they weren't American puppets. The whole world would get more if there weren't so many American puppets. Is my firm conviction. But I must admit I don't have chapter and verse, I don't have the facts and figures.

I can see hundreds of thousands of lives would be saved. That's a given.

I can see trade would flourish that is now stopped/crippled by sanctions.

But perhaps that is all kinda too general, too 'vague' ?

If someone can supply facts and figures of who/where/how more would be gotten if it were not for America or give some links or references I'd be delighted.. :)

Well, yes and no: it's the thought that counts.

Try here http://globalresearch.ca and here https://www.unz.com. Lots of good, and some great, stuff in both places.

If all political prisoners were American black lesbian drug-addicted WNBA players, there would be no more hostages. The world would be at peace.

You're an optimistic man. But I can't work out whether I like this comment or not.

I liked the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers & Fat Freddy's Cat, though, so I'll put one down to them and him.

Please note: in no way do I intend this as support for or approval of anything to do with "... Girls Trip (2017), which earned her several accolades and was included on The New Yorker's list of the best film performances of the 21st century."

Nor, indeed, most likely anything 'included on The New Yorker's list of the best film performances of the 21st century'. I should think they're pretty crap at the past century, and most likely the preceding one, as well.

"...their country should be America’s most loyal ally."

Join the end of the queue: if you want to compete in the kissing-US-bottoms (or 'sucking our ass', as the Americans may so delicately put it) competition, you've got a lot of competition in the line behind Churchill, and Maggie Thatcher's going to take quite some beating! Only one can be at the top of the 'special relationship' pyramid. Think of it as something like a Ponzi scheme. Ponzi was born in 1882, so newcomers like Poland should be more aware of their place in the queue.

"...abortion and LGBT..."

That's a good place — currently one of the most favoured places — to start; and, boy-oh-boy, has Poland got a lot of catching up to do before it gets anywhere even close to somewhere like Italy, never mind the UK! They're hoping they can buy points by promising the lives of their future youth, but how many dozens of future lives do they need to equate to just life already lost in one of America's seemingly endless list of wars past? (Don't blame me; it's not MY logic.) It's not just money for nothing, Poland: you've got a lot of work to do (to catch up); and promises for the future earn a lot less than losses past.

"That’s regrettable in this particular instance..."

Hey, don't sweat it: wasn't there an incident some years ago (About a decade ago, I think it was.) when the Israelis swapped 1,000 arabs for just one of their own? (And made their usual big noise about how this was the way God wanted it?) With a precedent like that, there's a damn good basis for the Poles to buy back a couple of their boys at a damn good price. ('Any price is a good price, already!')

"...it leads to truly lopsided outcomes like last week’s."

Not to mention truly perverse, and quite possibly irreparably damaged, societies, like Cool Britannia in the UK.

"...upsets truly patriotic Poles..."

Yeah... Poor sods!

Welcome to the club.

Everyone involved on the Allied side got the short end of the stick relative to the US. And the US, in pursuing nothing but short-term election-oriented gain, got the short end of the stick in relation to Russia.

The real lesson of all this is that when the US initiated its lawfare campaign against Russia with Bout's arrest in 2008, it was creating strategic problems for itself--without, of course, realizing it. It's a lot like the US's larger Ukraine policy in that respect.

Tengo 75 años y mal jubilado y militante marxista liberado.
