The Global South doesn’t support him, the UN chief no longer fully has his back, the US’ policy might change at the presidential and congressional levels, and Europe might then follow suit if that happens.
The Interview shows clearly that the conflict in the Ukraine is moving towards an increasingly dangerous stage.
Zelensky's behaviour is erratic - lashing out at anybody who might be standing in his way.
This is of course a typical reaction to the fact that the world is losing interest in the Ukraine.
Any effort to actually resolve the conflict is refuted by Ukraine's "leaders". Instead, they are emb
arking on more and more ridiculous enterprises - i.e. attacking Russia on her home territory.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian "refugees" are shamelessly exploiting the well meaning but ill advised attitude of western Europe.
With an arrogant sense of entitlement, they are flooding european cities and behaving as if they were the true masters!
Why, even placid Switzerland is fed up with this attitude. Swiss leaders - including - among others - the ex-leftist director of security in the canton of Zürich are demanding that these "refugees" be returned to Ukraine unless they at last integrated themselves in the Swiss workforce. Like their privileged refugee Status would readily allow!
Zelensky is showing the "Cornered Rat Syndrome" and should be removed from power before he creates irreparable damage with some rash and irrational move.
Yermak’s pernicious influence=the ghost of McCain on steroids?
Yermak's Pernicious Influence, capitalised because it is, like the 'One&Only Deep State' it would so like to be, of such special importance to history forever and ever — Exceptional — like no-one nor nothing else that's ever come before nor may have the audacity to question, nor certainly the capacity to rival or come after = The Ghost of McCain's Morons (no steroids necessary).
On December 2, 2019, Zelenski gave an interview to Times Magazine. Here are two quotes from that interview:
"Look, we are at home here. It is a piece of our land that was taken away. I will not agree to go to war in the Donbass. I know there are a lot of hotheads, especially those who hold rallies and say, ‘Let’s go fight and win it all back!’ But at what price? What is the cost? It’s another story of lives and land. And I won’t do it. If that doesn’t satisfy society, then a new leader will come who will satisfy those demands. But I will never go for that, because my position in life is to be a human being above all. And I cannot send them there. How? How many of them will die? Hundreds of thousands, and then an all-out war will start, an all-out war in Ukraine, and then across Europe."
"First off, I would never want Ukraine to be a piece on the map, on the chess board of big global players, so that someone could toss us around, use us as cover, as part of some bargain… "
Now, five years later, we see that he has done the opposite. He put the fate of Ukraine, and his own, in the hands of the West, more precisely the USA.
That is why his actions, including this interview, do not surprise me at all. He chose a path that he must follow to the end, no matter what. The only dilemma, if there is one, is whether in the end he will favor a less painful outcome for Ukraine, or for himself.
Zelenskii has a point concerning Congress. Even in the unlikely event that Team R retains the House and gets control of the Senate, both parties are prepared to fight ro the last Ukrainian before sending in the Poles.
Johnson's performative delaying of the last aid tranche is most instructive. I am surprised only that he held out as long as he did. I suspect someone in Langley called him and told him in no uncertain terms that he had his fun, but playtime is over now and he immediately went to waving a Ukrainian flag.

"...typical reaction to..."
Not having enough cocaine, or suffering a collapsed nose?
'Cornered Rat Syndrome'?
I suppose you could call it that; but the coke, etc. doesn't help, I'm sure.

Thought for the day:
"The emptiness of views does not tell us there is no truth in life. It is a warning not to mistake the truth with the pathways leading to it."
