All countries have the sovereign right to defend their national models of democracy from externally exacerbated Hybrid War threats however they choose, and India is no exception. In the event that the BBC doesn’t cease its Hybrid War on India, which would first require the Indian-friendly faction of the British establishment to wrest control of this fifth generational warfare weapon from the rival faction that’s presently exploiting it to that end, then India might be forced to ban it.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova was recently asked during a press conference to comment on the scandal surrounding the BBC’s latest “documentary” about the 2002 Gujarat riots. As was earlier observed, “The BBC Is Abusing Freedom Of The Press To Wage Hybrid Warfare On India” and “Opportunists Are Spinning The BBC’s Scandal To Mudsling Against India & Elon Musk”. The preceding analyses should be read by those who aren’t aware of this scandal or its strategic dynamics.
It was within the context of the BBC’s latest Hybrid War provocation against India, which was aimed at manipulating part of its population into committing acts of violence in response to the allegations put forth by that British state-run outlet’s “documentary”, that Zakharova expressed her support for Delhi. Russia’s decades-long, special, and privileged strategic partner banned that information warfare product from being viewed within its borders, which she suggested was reasonable. According to her:
“I would like to draw your attention to the fact that it is yet another evidence that the BBC is waging an information war on various fronts – not only against Russian Federation... but also against other global centers of power pursuing an independent policy. After a certain number of years, it turns out that the BBC is fighting even within the British establishment, being an instrument of the interests of some groups against others. We need to treat this accordingly. This is not an independent TV and radio corporation, but a dependent one, often neglecting the basic requirements of the journalism profession.”
The following insight can thus be intuited from the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman’s remarks. First, the Kremlin regards the BBC as a Hybrid War weapon of the British establishment that’s being wielded to punish independent multipolar countries like India. Second, the means of attack are indirect and carried out via information warfare, which in this case refers to that British state-run outlet’s “documentary” about the 2002 Gujarat riots.
Third, the British establishment itself is divided, which explains its schizophrenic approach towards India whereby one faction wants to expand relations with that globally significant Great Power while another wants to punish it for redoubling its relations with Russia in spite of Western pressure to curtail them. Fourth, this insight proves that the BBC can’t be regarded as accurate or reliable, and lastly, its regular neglect of basic journalistic requirements leaves open the possibility of other countries banning it.
Russia, for example, already banned the BBC on that basis early last year shortly after the start of its special operation. India hasn’t implied that it’ll do the same, but the option remains on the table, in which case Russia is signaling that it would support Delhi if it decides to do so as part of its “Democratic Security”.
The US-led West’s Golden Billion would then likely erupt in hypocritic furor despite they themselves banning publicly funded Russian media like RT and Sputnik on the same pretext (irrespective of its veracity).
Just like that de facto New Cold War bloc’s countries have the sovereign right to ban foreign outlets for national security reasons (regardless of how hypocritical this may be in terms of their domestic socio-political context and whether or not observers support this move), so too does India. Hopefully the Indian-friendly faction of the British establishment will succeed in stopping their rivals’ BBC-driven Hybrid War on India in order to avert that scenario lest Delhi is forced to defend itself more robustly.
Yes, the propaganda war now includes India. What is surprising this has been done by the American lapdog, Britain, and not the US itself. Perhaps the US is testing the waters.... it still needs India to counter China in Asia.
MSMs demonization of Putin is ramping up even more viciously as they reach to create a narrative that will make Putin look so diabolical that he tricked them. There is new documentary, no doubt laughable if it was not more scary psyop propaganda from the West.
