Russia’s Ambassador To India Exposed How The Golden Billion Exploits The G20
The importance of Ambassador Denis Alipov’s latest piece is that it defends Russia and its fellow Chinese Entente partner’s decision not to sign off on the last two joint G20 joint statements after the Finance and Foreign Ministers’ meetings. Those two objected to the inclusion of language about Ukraine in those documents, which prompted the Western Mainstream Media and their liberal-globalist allies in India to launch a vicious information warfare campaign against them accusing the Sino-Russo Entente of hijacking this platform.
The impending trifurcation of International Relations into the US-led West’s Golden Billion, the Sino-Russo Entente, and the informally Indian-led Global South has let to a lot of disruption on the world stage, though this is purely due to the first-mentioned de facto New Cold War bloc’s zero-sum designs. Instead of responsibly managing this development with the least amount of collateral damage, the West is weaponizing related processes in an attempt to hold the Entente back, thus harming the Global South.
Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov drew attention to this in his latest article for The Indian Express about “How the West is hijacking G20”. It’s very detailed but can be summarized by him exposing the self-interested double standards inherent in the so-called “rules-based order” concept, which is all about retaining the Golden Billion’s edge over the rest of the world regardless of the cost. The creation of alienation lines, he wrote, is intended to divide-and-rule the international community.
Alipov also reminded everyone of EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell’s racist characterization of the Global South as a so-called “jungle”, which he described as a Freudian slip revealing the condescending views that the Golden Billion truly holds towards the Global Majority residing in developing countries. The West’s Color Revolution and proxy war meddling then constituted the next part of Alipov’s article. He lamented this approach since he said that it impedes joint cooperation on shared goals.
The ambassador praised India for still masterfully mediating between all G20 members in order to ensure agreement on most of the group’s agenda, particularly regarding climate change, dealing with humanitarian crises, and preventing the impending global recession. Nevertheless, he still found it regrettable that the Golden Billion couldn’t drop their obsession with NATO’s proxy war on Russia via Ukraine in pursuit of the greater good, thus constituting the only issue of disagreement.
By making Europe’s problems the world’s problems in defiance of External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar’s well-intended suggestion last year to abandon that outdated notion, the West hijacked this platform for propagandistic purposes. Alipov then dove into more targeted criticisms of that de facto New Cold War bloc’s approach to International Relations over the years, especially what he described as its illegal assaults on Yugoslavia, Libya, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.
He warned that the West is plotting to replicate its divide-and-rule stratagem across the Asia-Pacific, calling on everyone to be alert to this plot in order to hopefully preempt it. The world is on the brink of catastrophe in all respects, Alipov concluded, which is exacerbated by his opponents’ many miscalculations over the years. While acknowledging that geopolitical tensions are undeniable, he implored the world not to let them get in the way of advancing shared goals for improving humanity.
The importance of Alipov’s latest piece is that it defends Russia and its fellow Chinese Entente partner’s decision not to sign off on the last two joint G20 joint statements after the Finance and Foreign Ministers’ meetings. Those two objected to the inclusion of language about Ukraine in those documents, which prompted the Western Mainstream Media and their liberal-globalist allies in India to launch a vicious information warfare campaign against them accusing the Entente of hijacking this platform.
The reality, as Russia’s top diplomat in Delhi just compellingly argued, is that it’s the Golden Billion that’s hijacking the G20 and not the Entente. Moscow deeply appreciates all that Delhi has done as the host of this year’s events to help bring everyone together towards a consensus, but its representatives still felt it necessary to clarify why it can’t agree to Western demands on Ukraine in the context of this group’s joint declarations.
It was for this reason that he wrote that “the divisive Ukrainian issue belongs in the UN, not on the G20 agenda. Still, it has been arrogantly put forward by the West as if the world’s future depends on condemning Russia and her strategic defeat — the goal Western capitals have openly declared. It is not.” This calmly explains Russia’s sovereign right to disagree with them on this issue, which is grounded in fact and the organization’s own precedent seeing as how the G20 never obsessed over other conflicts.
Russia’s refusal to agree to sign off on any document referencing Ukraine, and China’s support of its fellow Entente partner’s stance, shouldn’t be spin as hijacking the G20 or disrespecting this year’s Indian host. No such intention was at play, but rather the proud reaffirmation of Russia’s national interests. The West’s efforts to mislead the minds of many Indians through their information warfare campaign pushing these false narratives were just foiled by Alipov’s latest policy clarification in Indian media.
