Thanks again for setting the record straight. Too much fantasy and wishful thinking is doing the rounds on the internet, and that is not helpful.

Houthis are still non state actors. They are powerful but not in political standing. Afghan Taliban was the same way until they took over the political mantle after taking over the government. Now Russia recognises them as state actors and not terrorists.

Thanks for your clear-eyed factual reporting on these otherwise wishful thinking polarized statements. Connections & maneuverability between world actors remains more nuanced than many wish to consider. Your contribution matters.

An eye-opening read. All this time, I just assumed that Russia was all-in with the Houthis. So, I learned something today.

Thanks Andrew for giving some clarity but it is murky to say the least. I remain neutral and try to report facts (as you do so well) which are so hard to find and verify these days. My Letter from South Africa on Saturday will offer some insights into the Eastern mindset, often misunderstood by the West.
