The combination of USAID and “anti-terrorist” operations is largely responsible for the chaos that’s spread across the world from 2011 onward beginning with the theater-wide Color Revolutions known as the “Arab Spring”.
I don't know about this new openness helping to stop US interference. Everyone knows about the CIA's influence in South America in the 60s and 70s, it's even taught in history courses. As we get closer to the present, what everyone knows is talked about less and less openly. With Trump's dislike of bureaucrats this has now changed- we're being allowed to discuss it again.
Of course it doesn't mean that US meddling is stopping. Look at Musk prancing about with the AfD. It's the same US hegemonic divine right to trample on sovereignty and environmental protections but with no USAID/CIA mask on.
I very much appreciate this article & wish I had heard this speech. It is said of this time in history that much that has been hidden will be revealed. Leaders in the Sahel figured out who the terrorists are & who is supporting them. They are doing their best to tell all of Africa as they now fight off the scourge themselves. This information will be suppressed, distracted away & denied, but it is now "out there" as plain as it can be. Given Russia's penchant for repetition, perhaps it will continue to be put forth.
