In other words - nothing has changed.

Biden wanted Europe to take the lead. As for Russia and the US - Russia will milk the US, but it's baffling that Trump really believes it can separate Russia and China.

First off the US started something that it cannot stop or reverse, and Russia will remain loyal to China, no matter what.

Secondly, if the US/ EU thinks that their continued supply of dated junk, supposed financial aid that the EU just can't seem to get out of the door, and hollow rhetoric to the Ukraine is going to keep pressure on Russia during talks, they'd best think again, given that Russia's minimum ask is virtually set in stone, no matter what.

Russia has watched the West for three years and learned a lot, the most important of which is that much of the West's threats are merely bluster, and that they are incapable of delivering on the threats, that the Western weapons are sub-standard to Russian weapons and weapon development in the Ukrainian theatre, as is NATO strategy which has failed time and time again, with the Ukrainian whatever season counter offensive and Kursk incursion being prime examples.

The Russians have used the Kursk incursion to their advantage, keeping the best Ukrainian troops and mercenaries tied up in a bubble in Kursk which they are unable to break out of with any meaningful success.

The Russians are also about to pinch the Ukrainian's nuts in a vice in Kursk, as they start to cut the Ukrainians in Kursk off from supply and escape routes from and to the Ukraine, so it is the Ukraine who is going to end up under immense pressure when it comes to talks in order to save the lives of between 20 and 30 thousand Ukrainian troops, who will quite possibly end up being encircled in Kursk.

The ridiculous theory of building a million man army for the Ukraine in the future is Satire at best, given that the Ukraine does not have, nor will ever have the financial means to sustain such an army, while added to this, and if anything, this will scare the ten million Ukrainians who have fled the country, and prevent them from ever returning after the nightmare of Ukrainian conscription, and the dragging of men off the streets, and taking them away in vans, only to return them in body bags.

If anything both the EU and US need to dramatically rethink their strategy against Russia and adjusting it to a more pragmatic one, in which their is No Reason for war, rather than concocting Bullshit deterrents.

Because Pakistani-born Zakaria was unable to contain or mask his open contempt for the late Charles Krauthammer (a Jew) during their debate years ago I can have no respect for Zakaria. Krauthammer who achieved both a medical degree and lawyer’s certification despite being paraplegic was both a brilliant mind with a compassionate heart neither of which Zakaria possessed. I would take anything he said with a grain of salt the size of Lot’s wife.

Zakaria had a lengthy monologue on Trump after this interview. He was quite harsh calling Trump a Putin sympathyzer basically. My question to him would be “when did we agree to forever fund this conflict?” Why should we be responsible for the defense complex getting richer and Ukrainian oligarchs buying mansions and living high on the hog in Checkoslavakia? Zelensky has no one to fight left. Russia can keep fighting until they finally get tired of toying with the Ukraine and just over run its military and country folding it again into Russia. They won’t have a country then so he can either listen to the US and cede whatever land is given to the victors and pay us back or he can side with the globalists and the EU who want them to keep fighting and eventually lose his country as the US is looking East to China. Zelensky has the future of Ukraine in his hands and he better choose wisely because the US is done handing him money. Trump wants peace around the world which stops the printing of money here for defense contractors as they reach record profits off the backs of our tax dollars. Trump should win the Nobel peace prize for this but won’t as this leftist organization will shut out any right wing populists.

Obviously, Poland would like to maintain the appearance that "almost" nothing has changed. If Russians really believe US&EU do the good cop - bad cop routine, they would be very cautious with offers, so at some point Trump will need to stop his negotiations initiative because it's going to be unrewarding. For example, expanding embassy personnel in Moscow and DC works more to the American rather to the Russian advantage.

Interestingly, Poland's transactional relationship with the USA was revealed frankly. Andrew, if you have time, could you take a look at this analysis of the possible post-war power configuration?

Try to visualize a Western World where the presence and participation of Russia was gradually incorporated after 1991. Actually, Yeltsin’s Russia was literally begging for this. Instead, a bunch of metrosexuals and saxophone players set the present disastrous course we are living today with. Why did they do it? They had a choice of being shot in the head JFK style or living the life of rich and famous and they have chosen the second option.
