I think the USA will use the opportunity to attempt again to further poison India china relations which have seen some serious mending moves lately. USA must not let that continue.
The trouble for the USA is that the leverage over India is quite limited, so there will be likely a lot of money on the table to try to bribe India into souring relations with China.
Probably also similar open border deal (practically unlimited visas for Indians) to the one Boris came back with from his visit to India in 2022.
