The American leadership is governed by juveniles knowing nothing about world history and nothing about world cultures and realities? To me it seems all their thoughts are created by their childish knowledge of computer games!

"China will dump Russia as a quid pro quo for comparatively “normalizing” ties with the US" LOL. Agreement this is a false expectation. Looking at how the U.S. treats its "friends" should make any nation cautious.

The author overlooks the role that the rapidly declining state of America plays in all of this. Over the next decade, as the United States continues to weaken, it will be in less and less of a position to determine much of anything as to its role in the world. It’s future role is subject to its willingness to accept this new multi-polar reality. It is highly likely that it will not take this well and begin to lash out. Militarily or otherwise. This possibility basically puts paid to any prognostications about the future. The world is watching an empire collapse in real-time.

Rumors of a coming Sino-Soviet split have been rampant since I was in junior high. I'm now 75. The split is coming and it always will be.
