As you probably know, I'm far from MAGA. In fact, I'm anti-capitalist as well as anti-imperialist. But I do live in Ohio, and know something about JD Vance. In fact, I voted for him, which was the first time in my voting life, which began in 1976, that I ever voted for a Republican candidate for Senator.

I did that for one reason and one reason only. During the debate, Vance's opponent, Democrat Tim Ryan, said the US had to support Ukraine regardless of the cost. Vance said he didn't care about Ukraine, he cared about people in Ohio, he was opposed to anything that could lead to a nuclear war, and was therefore opposed to supporting the Ukraine War.

Since then, he's been consistent on that issue.

Vance grew up poor, and he admits that it was only through luck or the grace of some god that he didn't end up small-town poor himself. Plus, he hasn't been in Congress long enough to become a swamp creature.

He's a FAR better VP pick than that raving anti-Castro Cuban lunatic Marco Rubio, or the warmongering vampire aka Nikki Haley. If something happens to Trump, Vance would be far more likely to steer the country away from war, and maybe even start dismantling the Empire because he knows George Washington's warning about entangling foreign alliances.

Andrew, I absolutely love your reporting on Ukraine. Top notch.

But for this piece, I think you are missing a very important aspect. Namely, J.D. Vance's ties to Israel.

Vance has received funds from AIPAC, seems to be a staunch supporter of Israel (who is genociding hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians).

And we both (especially historically-speaking) know that such a stance doesn't bode well for future extended conflicts in the Middle East - between Israel and their foes with the financial and military support of the U.S.

With his numerous statements about Hamas, he obviously doesn't know history at all and who were behind its creation:

Some would argue that he is supporting the Zionists:

Please explain to us how any of this is good for the United States of America.

- Respectfully
