Kiev’s Public Relations Crisis Worsens As Infighting Breaks Out Within Its “Foreign Legion”
One woman, and a bonafide con artist at that, bragged about having the power to “burn the army to the ground” by blowing the whistle on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ corruption if she isn’t allowed to continue her live action role-playing fantasy of pretending to be a so-called “freedom fighter” or whatever. Even more curiously, she’s still alive as far as everyone knows and hasn’t been knocked off by the powerful SBU that’s known to kill all dissidents within the country. This suggests that there might be some credence to her claims and that she has some influential patrons too.
Kiev’s in the midst of a serious public relations crisis after a series of events last week completely destroyed its artificially manufactured reputation over the past year. The Polish Prime Minister, President, and Chief of Staff of its Armed Forces all warned that their anti-Russian proxy’s victory shouldn’t be taken for granted anymore, which was followed by the US’ Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley and even Zelensky’s former advisor Alexei Arestovich extending credence to this view.
The Ukrainian leader desperately sought to distract everyone’s attention from this new narrative that his joint American-Polish patrons just introduced into the global information ecosystem, hence why he humiliated himself at Davos by sharing the conspiracy theory that President Putin already died. That obviously failed to change these disadvantageous soft power dynamics and actually only further exacerbated them, yet everything unprecedentedly worsened for his side just several days later.
The Daily Mail published an exclusive report citing confidential dossiers that its Australian office said were “prepared for Ukrainian Ground Forces Command by senior (foreign) legion officers with substantial intelligence experience” to claim that this outfit’s spokeswoman is blackmailing the armed forces. Emese Fajk, who’s infamous in Australia after trying to defraud a homeowner out of their $4.2 million property following her appearance in a popular TV show, is the person who’s behind this plot.
The outlet even included secretly recorded audio to make its case that she indeed threatened to “burn the army to the ground” by revealing “The corruption, the s**t going missing, (and) the treatment foreigners get” if anyone dares to fire her for a previously unauthorized overseas trip. The infighting that Arestovich claimed a few days prior is afflicting Kiev’s leadership to such a degree that he partially blames it for why his side’s victory is now “very unlikely” just broke out into the open for all to see.
It's unclear whether she’s really privy to the damning secrets that she implied and/or if her unnamed critics are correct in accusing her of being an anti-Ukrainian agent sent to destroy the “Foreign Legion” from within, but there’s no doubt that someone passed along these damning recordings to the Daily Mail as part of the infighting that Arestovich accurately described as afflicting Kiev’s leadership. This development thus confirms how serious factionalist infighting has become within that fascist regime.
One woman, and a bonafide con artist at that, bragged about having the power to “burn the army to the ground” if she isn’t allowed to continue her live action role-playing fantasy of pretending to be a so-called “freedom fighter” or whatever. Even more curiously, she’s still alive as far as everyone knows and hasn’t been knocked off by the powerful SBU that’s known to kill all dissidents within the country. This suggests that there might be some credence to her claims and that she has some influential patrons too.
Nevertheless, the very fact that someone passed along those damning recordings to the Daily Mail also suggests that there are factions within its armed forces in general and “Foreign Legion” in particular that want to do away with her in one way or another. They can’t fire her due to how effectively she’s blackmailing some senior military leadership and the protection that she seemingly enjoys from some folks within the SBU, hence why they leaked this information in an attempt to force her ouster.
That said, the Daily Mail also reported that “SBU is Ukraine's intelligence agency, which previously investigated Fajk in the early days of the war, and is now looking into the more recent allegations against her…Daily Mail Australia confirmed she is under investigation by SBU for allegedly stealing legion funds and possible links to Russian intelligence.” If true, then this means that only a certain faction within the SBU is protecting Fajk while another or others are against her for whatever reason.
Simply put, the latest infighting within Kiev is a major mess since it showed the world just how convoluted that fascist regime’s factionalism is that the “Foreign Legion’s” spokeswoman evidently enjoys the protection of some forces while others are clearly trying to take her down. All of this, it should be remembered, exploded into the open at precisely the worst possible moment after the last week catalyzed an unprecedented public relations crisis for the Golden Billion’s anti-Russian proxy.
The American and Polish leaderships jointly coordinated to introduce a new narrative into the global information ecosystem that more closely reflects reality than the prior one wherein they’re now warning that Kiev’s victory can’t be taken for granted. Zelensky subsequently humiliated himself at Davos out of desperation to deflect attention from this while his former senior advisor then dropped two truth bombs extending credence to this new narrative and warning about serious infighting.
It's against this context that the Daily Mail scandalous report was published, which thus truly makes its timing all the more disadvantageous for Kiev. Furthermore, it shows that Arestovich was right in raising awareness of his fascist regime’s infighting since Fajk is clearly at the center of one of its most vicious disputes, which could “burn the army to the ground” if it’s not soon resolved. Nobody knows what her ultimate fate will be, but her scandal is definitely the most damning public relations one for Kiev yet.
