It’s Concerning That One Of Kiev’s Top Warmongers Was Pleased With Celso Amorim’s Visit
No one who sincerely supports Russia can say in good conscience that Andrey Melnik’s praise of his meeting with Lula’s chief foreign policy advisor Celso Amorim is anything to celebrate. To the contrary, it’s concerning since it confirms that Lula’s envisaged role in this conflict serves Kiev’s interests otherwise he of all people would have criticized it. This scandalous warmongering fascist hates Russia with a passion, so if he says that something is good, then it’s certainly bad for Russia’s interests.
Brazilian President Lula’s chief foreign policy advisor Celso Amorim just left Kiev after holding talks with Zelensky and one of side’s top warmongers, scandal-plagued Andrey Melnik. The latter used to be the Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany prior be promoted to its Deputy Foreign Minister late last year. He’s infamous for comparing Hitler’s genocidal collaborator Stepan Bandera to Robin Hood and demanding that Berlin cross all its “red lines” with Russia through the unlimited dispatch of arms to Ukraine.
There’s nothing wrong with Amorim traveling to Kiev after recently visiting Moscow, where he was unexpectedly granted an hour with President Putin. It’s not his fault that protocol called for him to meet with Melnik while there as part of his professional duties, but it’s concerning that this scandalous warmongering fascist was pleased with their talks. This isn’t speculation either since he posted a photo of them together on Twitter captioned “We are slowly changing the mood between Brazil and Ukraine”.
Melnik ended his post with a winking emoji, which implied that Amorim’s trip exceeded his side’s expectations. Kiev previously condemned Lula’s prior peace rhetoric, which misled many casual observers into falsely thinking that he supports Russia despite Brazil voting in support of a hostile UNGA Resolution last February. These four analyses here, here, here, and here debunk the counterfactual narrative that both the Alt-Media Community (AMC) and Mainstream Media (MSM) peddle.
The first misportrays Lula as Russian-friendly in order to distract their targeted audience from his US-aligned grand strategy and ideological alliance with that country’s ruling liberal-globalists, while the second does this to advance the West’s policy of maximally pressuring Brazil into more concessions. As is typical, this declining unipolar hegemon isn’t content with anything other than full submission to its demands, hence why it never stops trying to impose its policies onto others by hook or by crook.
While Lula’s piece rhetoric works against the US’ soft power agenda by partially blaming the West for the NATO-Russian proxy war in Ukraine, the substance of Brazil’s policy towards that conflict is identical to the US’ in demanding Russia’s full withdrawal from all the territory that Kiev claims as its own. The AMC and MSM go to great lengths not to inform their audience about this since it discredits their narrative agendas, but the preceding fact is objectively existing and easily verifiable.
Kiev had no choice but to condemn Lula’s peace rhetoric since its failure to do so would be inconsistent with its approach to the conflict, thus raising questions about why it made an exception by remaining silent after his remarks when it never misses the chance to condemn others’ much more milder ones. Nevertheless, it also has no doubt that Brazil is on its side in the political sense, which is confirmed by how pleased Melnik was after his meeting with Amorim.
This top warmonger isn’t known for biting his tongue. In fact, he regularly goes on expletive-ridden rants against others, including fellow diplomats and other foreign officials. If he of all people was so happy after their talks, then those who sincerely support Russia should be very concerned about Brazil’s plan to mediate between that country and Ukraine, which Lula himself brought up once again on Wednesday when telling everyone that he intends to do so during this month’s G7 Summit in Japan.
His multipolar credentials were already discredited after Color Revolution financier George Soros enthusiastically endorsed him in mid-February. Then the Brazilian leader ordered his diplomats to vote in support of an anti-Russian UNGA Resolution later that month. This was followed by Lula badmouthing Russia right after Lavrov’s visit in late April, after which he placed conditions on accepting his invitation from President Putin to participate in next month’s St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
All of this preceded Melnik’s publicly shared conclusion that “We are slowly changing the mood between Brazil and Ukraine”, which can thus be interpreted as a dog whistle for the MSM to relieve some of their pressure on Lula since Kiev is very pleased with what he’s doing in their support through his “mediation”. Candidly speaking, he’s serving as the US’ “Trojan Horse” for slyly swaying Global South states towards its side and away from supporting China’s pragmatic peace plan, which is poles apart from Brazil’s.
No one who sincerely supports Russia can say in good conscience that Melnik’s praise of his meeting with Amorim is anything to celebrate. To the contrary, it’s concerning since it confirms that Lula’s envisaged role in this conflict serves Kiev’s interests otherwise he of all people would have criticized it.
