The Associated Press’ Tara Copp came clean and finally told people just how difficult everything really is for the US-led West’s Golden Billion after a full year of the Mainstream Media denying it. A long-overdue admission is always better than none so everyone should appreciate what she just did, even if it was timed to coincide with the latest trend and wasn’t an act of journalistic bravery.
The Associated Press (AP) just played its part in the past month’s trend of decisively shifting the “official narrative” about the Ukrainian Conflict from prematurely celebrating Kiev’s supposedly “inevitable” victory to seriously warning about its possible defeat in this proxy war. Whereas CNN accidentally let slip some inconvenient truths in its related piece that was coincidentally published on the same day, the AP to its credit explicitly acknowledged these serious shortcomings.
In her article about “How Ukraine war has shaped US planning for a China conflict”, Tara Copp relied heavily on the influential Center for Strategic and International Studies’ (CSIS) report on this subject. She amplified the objectively existing but “politically incorrect” reality that “Ukraine is putting intense pressure on the U.S. and European defense stockpiles and exposing that neither was ready for a major conventional conflict”, which NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently admitted.
Copp then added that “The Pentagon’s defense strategy says the U.S. must be able to conduct one war while deterring another, but the supply chain has not reflected that”, which reinforces the former’s latest comments confirming the existence of the West’s military-industrial crisis. She then cited the CSIS’ earlier mentioned report which concluded that “it could take five years or more to replenish 155mm, Javelin and Stinger stockpiles.” Quite clearly, the West’s military-industrial crisis is real and acute.
Adding insult to injury when it comes to the prior “official narrative” that denied any existence of this selfsame crisis until just recently, Copp informed readers that “For European stockpiles, there’s not much excess left to send, and many of the partner nations are rushing to sign new contracts with industry to replenish inventories.” Genuine experts were keenly aware of these disadvantageous military-industrial dynamics, but the Western Mainstream Media (MSM) hid them from the people.
Therein lies the narrative significance of the AP’s latest contribution to the newfound trend of decisively shifting the “official narrative” about this conflict since Copp came clean and finally told people just how difficult everything really is for the US-led West’s Golden Billion after a full year of the MSM denying it. A long-overdue admission is always better than none so everyone should appreciate what she just did, even if it was timed to coincide with the latest trend and wasn’t an act of journalistic bravery.
In any case, it’s still important that folks are nowadays learning the truth about this proxy war since it could lead to them accepting that their leaders might soon inevitably climb down from their absolutist demands of Russia related to its unconditional defeat to possibly settling for some sort of compromise. There’s no way that they can beat Russia in this “race of logistics”/”war of attrition” as Stoltenberg described it and which Copp just confirmed does indeed veritably exist, hence the need to compromise.
Hehehehe and to think that the Pentagon propaganda for decades maintained that the US was capable of waging two conventional wars on two continents at the same time.
