Friends, I'm continuing my recovery. I dodged a bullet to be honest but I'd prefer not to go into detail (at least not now) about what happened. There was a second-order complication from my illness that could have been really bad but was ultimately manageable, thank God.

Nevertheless, I probably won't resume weekend analyses anytime soon, if at all. I might also only publish around 3 pieces a week, we'll see. It just depends on how everything goes. I appreciate your understanding and am forever grateful for your support.

"The problem though is that Trump has ramped up his rhetoric against Russia after the recent White House Summit"

Who didn't see this coming a mile away? How many times in the past eight months has Trump flip flopped on Putin? Love, hate, love, hate.... Trump appears unable to self-reflect on how crazy his behavior looks to others.

I have said this before and will say it again. Putin made a mistake meeting with Trump. Any phone call or meeting with Trump encourages Trump to come down harder on Putin once the euphoria of the call or meeting dissipates. Case in point: prior to the summit, Trump only wanted to impose economic sanctions on Russia. After the meeting, Trump not only wants to impose those sanctions, but also wants strong security guarantees for Ukraine that threaten Russia. This is despite Russia agreeing to some compromises, the details of which remain unclear. With each call and meeting, Russia looses and gains nothing except further wrath from Trump.
